Mr. Cornelius has been a trial lawyer since 1975, with more than 100 cases tried to verdict, in
state and federal courts. As an advocate, he has participated in hundreds of mediations, in
various kinds of civil matters, and on both sides of the docket. In 2006, Mr. Cornelius turned his
attention to serving as a mediator, offering this experience, and a mature and measured
approach, to assist litigants seeking resolution of their disputes. Mr. Cornelius received his
formal mediation training from Sid Stahl and John Estes, of Dallas, in their "Learn from the
Masters" program, is on the approved mediator panel for the Eastern District of Texas, and is a
member of the Association of Attorney Mediators.
In addition, Mr. Cornelius continues his active trial practice, frequently serving as local counsel
for parties involved in intellectual property litigation in the Eastern District of Texas; and as one
of the area's most respected defenders of trucking companies in transportation liability cases.
