William Cornelius

Short Biography

Bill Cornelius has been a trial lawyer since 1975, with more than 100 cases tried to verdict, in state and federal courts. His experience covers a wide range of subjects, including personal injury and wrongful death, commercial disputes, and general civil litigation. He is one of the area's leading defenders of trucking companies in transportation liability cases. His current practice focuses primarily on service as local counsel for plaintiffs and defendants in intellectual property cases filed in the Eastern District of Texas.

Since 2006, Mr. Cornelius has also served as a mediator. Having participated in hundreds of mediations as an attorney, in various kinds of civil matters, and on both sides of the docket, Mr. Cornelius is uniquely qualified to lend assistance to litigants seeking resolution of their disputes. Mr. Cornelius received his formal mediation training from Sid Stahl and John Estes, of Dallas, in their "Learn from the Masters" program; and is on the approved mediator panel for the Eastern District of Texas.
